They only lose in the playoffs where it counts!

Lots of people tend to focus on the absolute embarrassment from the Lightning last season (justifiably so). Regardless, they seem to forget or ignore the fact that these players have made multiple deep playoff runs over the past few years.

The team has been playing great, aside from our powerplay which has been stale. I like our chances this year if Cooper is actually able to be flexible during the playoffs and if we can stay healthy. Interested to see if JBB makes any moves at the deadline.

I like Coleman, but Foote and a first seems like a bit of an overpayment.

You'll love him. It probably is a lot but his contract is great and you get 2 chances to win the cup with him.

Yeah, with the upcoming extensions of Cirelli, Serg and Cernak this summer we probably need to shred one of our ~$5 mill forward. To have Coleman locked in at 1.8 helps alot to replace that.

Coleman also scores goals, is physical and good defensively. Thats good qualitys to win in the post season.

Im also pretty sure we will protect 1-4-4 in the Seattle expansion draft. Protect Hed, McD, Serg, Cernak on D and Stammer, Kuch, Point, Cirelli up front. Let Seattle choose from the rest. Problem is now that our prospect pipeline is starting to run very thin, so there isnt exactly a queue of players lining up to replace those lost forwards.

Still it was a pretty steep price, but he is a perfect fit and Fitzgerald made a good job identifying that.

I am sick to death of expansion drafts and new teams.
